Academic Partners
All academic participants are members of the IDEA League, a strategic alliance of leading European universities of technology. Together, the members have a 20-year-long (since the foundation in 1999) proven track record of bottom-up collaboration in education: Organising summer schools, doctoral schools and, more recently, the Challenge Program for high-achieving students.
The IDEA League has a tradition of enabling short-term research exchange. The IDEA League has stimulated working groups of both academic and administrative staff at all levels to learn from each other and develop best practices.

Industry Partners
The non-academic partners contribute expertise in applications and/or daily operations of geothermal systems and are specialists who cover the whole expertise along the geothermal chain from production to injection. Partners in the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland (Hydreco Geomec, Fraunhofer, Veegeo, Geoenergie Suisse, Ad Terra) have experience with the overall supervision of geothermal projects related to subsurface processes.
Geophysica provides expertise in borehole logging, while Huisman is the leader on the market for new casing composites. Nagra is a specialist on subsurface characterization, while EBN and RWE synergise the subsurface and surface challenges. Partners in Italy are world leaders in power plant component design and maintenance. All partners contribute not only their expertise but also grant access to their facilities.
